Jumped over the bridge into the river and shouted his wife so as she did the same. However, Mrs. Teresa couldn’t move in the bridge because she was scared to death and the animal attacked her. Finally, she died.

Few days later, the animal appeared death in the bridge. The wild boar had a dagger which don Nuno identified stuck in the throat.

It was the dagger that don Nuno himself had gave as a present to Roxin Roxal long time ago. The landlord of Andrade understood then that his daughter will have a better protector in this brave young man who wasn’t allowed to marry to Mrs. Teresa. From this moment onwards, the bridge was known as “Ponte do Porco”.

Going up by Lambre, there are between a beautiful landscape of rivers and groves the ruins of big mills, which were called “de Misericordia” by the native people. The documents called them “Muiños do Rei” and some others say “de Bermúdez”. These mills are several constructions, which seem to be from three different ages in the XVIII century. The tradition says that wheat was milled to give flour to the Naval dockyard of Ferrol. The fllour came there in a “dorna”. In the price of the ancient mill process, the prize of the mill was included in the transport of grain to the grinder/mill and also the collocation of flouor in the customer’s house.

The mills were well located, near the road of Ponte do Porco, which linked Ferrol to Betanzos. The group of “Muiños do Rei” was a long rectangle in line along the river and between big trees. The small door, in the middle, has such an erasured inscription that can only be guessed the name of Bermúdez on it. The door is in the middle of all the building, but it is not in line to the new bridge which giver access to it.

This constructions had several alterations approximately in 1.845.

The XIX century brought the municipality to Paderne as a result of the reorganization made after the ancient regime in which the parishes belonged to three different administrative areas. At this moment, the town council of Paderne is set up with its current parishes after the transitional period (year 1.831) in which the current village was split up in two: the Administrative area of Vigo and the administrative area of Quintas. It was in the year 1.842 when it almost disappears and is absorbed by Betanzos due to a reduction of Villages. Finally this didn’t take place.

In the XX century, the construction of the bridge “O Pedrido”, drawn by Eduardo Torroja Miret had a historical landmark in people of the village’s life. This was so, not only by the importance of this construction but also by the technical advances, which were used on its construction. The bridge was opened on the 16th Aprie 1.943, making easier the communication between both sides of the estuary, which up to this moment was linked by a passageway. This was also an activity, which nicknamed this bridge.

As an important historical quote, Frei Martin Sarmiento used the passageway when he travelled on 1.745. This was written in the back cover of “Betanzos y su comarca” on April 2.001.
