Following with this short historical review, it is also important the visit that the presidents of the United States John Adams make to our district council in 1.779. We know that thanks to a letter that he wrote to his wife when he was here. It was in this letter where he described the area of Ponte do Porco, as a fertil cultivated from the top of the mount to the banks of the sea; a place where he ate in.

Going up Lambre, there are the remains of big mills, which the natives call the Misericordy. They are in a beautiful landscape of rivers and groves. These mills are several constructions of three different ages in the XVIII century. Tradition says that this place was used as a wheat miller for the flours of naval duck yard.

The flour was brought there in a dorna because according to the miller’s ancient traditions, the price of it was included in the transport of grain, the mill and the placement of it in the customer’s house.

The mills were well located, near the path in Ponte do Porco which linked Ferrol and Betanzos. The group of mills was a kind of a long rectangular lined to the bank of the river, between big trees, showing the archs. The small door has such a damaged inscription in the centre that it is only possible to guess the name of Bermúdez.

These mills had several important modification approximately in 1.845.

Coming back in time it is important to mention the surname “Vilouzas” which was found in ancient papers of the XVI century as belonging to a family with noble tittles. It is known that, this family the owner of a great part of the town “As Mariñas”. In fact there are some shields with the name of this family in houses and country houses of the town, given place to the name of Villozás lately. What it is not really clear is the situation of his family’s negative house, although it seems to be in a place called “El Tercio”. This is so because it appeared in some of its houses some heraldic shields, which are almost unrecognizable, due to the pass of time.

It was at the beginning of 1.880 that near the path which goes to the church of Villozás took place the ancient “market of 27”. Taking into account the maximum to be on top form, on the 1.825. And in the 30s, it didn’t take place because at this very moment it also took place the opening of the new road, which goes to Betanzos.

It was the XIX century the one which brings the municipality to Paderne. Due to the reestructuration made after the ancieny regime, in which the parishes that belonged to different administrative areas, it borns the city hall of Paderne with the current parishes. These parishes went before through transitional period because in 1.831 they were on the point of disappearing and being observed by Betanzos as a consequence of the reduction of counties, finally this didn’t take place.

It was in the XX century that the construction of the bridge called “El Pedrido”, designed by Eduardo Torroja Miret, marked a historical milestone in this village’s people’s life. This was so, not only by its importance as far as communication is concerned but also by the technical advances used in its construction (year 1.940). It was opened on the 16th April 1.945 providing the communication between the two banks of the river.

As an important historical description, the current town hall exists from the beginnings of the XX century with an area of 430 m2 and its construction was finished in the year 1.927. José Mª Pérez González was the major in the year 1.927. This construction had several alterations and the last one was finished in the year 2.001 being César Longo Queijo the mayor.
