From its highest part some others hill-forts like the one of Bergondiño and Santa Marta (ancient Celtic sacred mount).
The one of Castro, next to the estuary. On the other hand and in line with the one we are talking about, it is the hill-fort of Espenuca, Xan Rozo and the hill-fort of Untie, (where the highest part of Betanzos is sited today).
The hill-fort became romanized and is rich in ceramics, “tégulas”, brick under the humus. Some of the found fragments show a quite refined technic which leave token of a hill-fort which must have been inhabited until a late age.
The water supply will be guaranteed from its vicinities as this headland is between two rivers 500 meters on the south, the River Mandeo and on the North the river of Caraña, which is near the forest.
The hole, which surrounds the defensive wall, is on the south bank of the river and the Real Path from Betanzos to Vilalba, which goes from the Church of “Nuestra señora, used it long time ago de los Remedios” continuing probably on an old roman path which became linked to Brigantium.
